We’re animal people to our core, which means that day after day we’re busy trying to find solutions to help our pets be as much of a part of our daily lives as possible. And that’s how it all began. With water. And our constant search for places and ways to give our four-legged pals a drink. But we’re not just helping our own with this project – we’re helping give every pet a drink, whether they’re furry, fluffy or even feathery. In 2019, our team got stuck into designing a water bowl that had a durable exterior and was both easy to transport and washable. And it had to look good too! To make sure this awareness-raising campaign really took off, we had to make sure it struck a balance between aesthetics, emotion and functionality. We needed real fluffy pals, stories and interactions, which is when we started to handpick our first 30 Pet Friendly Routes water bowl protagonists. We ran a photo challenge on social media, which led to @petfriendlyroutes getting hundreds of entries and interactions.
